Full CCTV Upgrade for NHS Sites – Manchester
Click 24 have recently been entrusted with a contract to upgrade the CCTV systems at Several NHS sites around the North West. The sites are all around 10 years old and the client decided that they wanted to update all of their equipment to ensure that their sites were fully protected with 24 hour monitoring.
They came to us as they needed new and updated cameras with a clearer picture quality. Previously, their camera viewing quality was poor and when replaying the footage, the quality degraded even further meaning that intruders weren’t easily identifiable when playing back the footage.
Since we visited site, we have upgraded their whole system with HIKVISION DS-7316HUHI-F4/N Turbo HD DVR and DS-2AE5223TI-A HD PTZ Cameras and since, the quality of the live viewing image has had a major improvement. The images now don’t degrade in the recording process and the replay of the footage is almost as good as the live view. With our upgrade, we also increased the disk size which has enabled them to extend their recording times. This means they are able to review footage from further in the past if any issues should occur.
Their system includes PTZ cameras which are controlled by a twist/zoom keyboard. On one of their sites, they have got six external domes, seventeen static’s, two Turbo HD DVR’s and new monitors and commissioning. To install all of this equipment, it took the Click team four days.
From the client updating their system, it has probably cost them a third of the cost of the system they previously had in place.
At Click, we have been installing IP CCTV systems for the last ten years and the Turbo HD definitely has a place in the market for upgrading any coaxial system.
