The Fire & Security Industry is a specialist field. Our business works within the Public Sector, Education, NHS and the commercial market place. Our engineers are competent on all equipment having worked on some of the biggest systems within the Northwest.
At the end of Year 4 we would expect an individual to understand all systems and be competent on, installation, fault finding, maintain and commissioning of equipment used within the Fire & Security Systems Industry.
Click will teach the apprentice to Drive.
Our office is based in Milnrow, Our works are throughout the North West. Click will make arrangements when required to pick the learner up from an agreed location, there may be times when the learner makes there way back from site on public transport. E.g. Train from Manchester
These are the basic requirements we must have from a learner.

- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Hardworking and reliable
- Willing to Learn to Drive
- Be smart in Appearance and Hygenic
- To attend college and keep up to date with all course work
The first year would be spent working with a service engineer, the aim is for the learner to be introduced to all the equipment on site, the operation of the systems, layouts of buildings etc.
Over the period we would expect the learner to be ahead of the engineer preparing access and equipment
The engineer would be in charge on all sites and give instructions directly to the learner and ensure Safe Working Practices
The learner would transfer to install for 12 months. The focus is to learn how the systems are installed. Cabling through buildings, Installation of the equipment, Safe Working Practices within a construction site.
Over this period, we would expect the learner to be able to install parts of the works
The young engineer would work as part of the team across the company working on both installation and service. Additions and small works would be entrusted to the trainee.
Throughout this year the young engineer would be despatched to site un-accompanied to carry out works
The year would be focussed on commissioning works competed by the install teams and working on larger building services, additions to larger systems
Throughout this year we would be sending the Engineer on manufacturers product courses and training / checking all paperwork and documentation to ensure it applies with the companies and required industry standards
Apprenticeship Entry Criteria:
You must hold A – C qualifications in Maths and English
You MUST have lived in the EU for 3 years or more
